There are so many great resources for writers out there...so many it's hard to keep track of them all. The following is a list of the resources I have consistently found most helpful:

Odin’s Castle of Dreams and Legends - Archive of history & historical resources from the dawn of man to modern times, including the history of science and medicine
Wikipedia - Wikipedia gets a lot of flack, but there's a lot of valuable info there
